Club Sandwich 🥪 Recipe
Ingredients
- 8 slices of sandwich bread, toasted
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 8 slices of cooked bacon
- 8 slices of deli turkey or chicken
- 4 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 1 large tomato, thinly sliced
- 4 leaves of lettuce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: pickle slices, for serving
Instructions:
Toast the slices of bread until they are golden brown.
Lay four slices of toasted bread on a flat surface. Spread mayonnaise on each slice. Top each with bacon, turkey or chicken, and cheese.
Place a slice of tomato and a leaf of lettuce on each of the four sandwiches. Season with a little salt and pepper.
Place another slice of toasted bread on top of each sandwich. Spread mayonnaise on these slices as well.
Add another layer of bacon, turkey or chicken, cheese, tomato, and lettuce. Top each sandwich with the remaining slices of toasted bread.
Secure each sandwich with toothpicks (one in each corner) to hold everything together. Use a sharp knife to cut each sandwich into quarters, making sure to cut through the toothpicks.
Serve your club sandwiches with pickle slices on the side, if desired
