Kenya has established itself as the leading destination for startup funding in Africa, having attracted Ksh.82.5 billion in 2023, which is approximately 29% of the continent's total startup funding. This trend continued into 2024, when Kenya secured about $638 million (Sh82.3 billion) in venture funding, further solidifying its position at the forefront of Africa's startup ecosystem. This energy and drive must be fused with the dynamic nature of the creative economy enterprises. With funding creators a huge challenge, the new shift for creators should be collaborating with these new innovative enterprises to attract global funding. Artistic creators need to be more organised to access this emerging capital. Energies must be channelled towards raising startup capital for cultural projects and industries.
