Through our partnership with , we convened stakeholders from Government, Research, CBOs & CSOs to co-create solutions on:
1. Waste Segregation at Source
2. Black Soldier Fly [BSF] for Organic Waste Management 🪰

Last evening, River FC_ was honored to join British High Commissioner .E. Matthew Baugh and key sports stakeholders to discuss sports, climate change, and community development.

We focused on how climate change is disrupting grassroots football in Mathare, the need to protect community pitches to nurture talent, and sport’s role in empowering youth. We also discussed the legacy of the 2027 Cup of Nations for Kenya.

A highlight was a documentary on how climate floods repeatedly destroy football in Mathare, a stark reminder of what our players face each rainy season.

As River FC, we’re committed to climate-resilient football through sustainable pitches, better drainage, and eco-friendly solutions. Sport must thrive despite climate change.

The event united diplomats, sports administrators, and FKF officials led by President Mohammed, reaffirming football as a tool for resilience, unity, and sustainable change.

On 17th June, LEWMO CBO hosted , under ’s Food Frontiers & Security programme, in Lucky Summer Estate 🌱

We held discussions on potential collaboration around Black Soldier Fly solutions for managing household food and wet waste. This exchange explored practical approaches to strengthen waste recycling and advance circular economy practices within our community.
