Believe it or not ,this photo was taken by a "professional" photographer😂😂,in our time if you owned a camera ,you were the official photographer for a family function..Anyway...that's me during my graduation party at 24yrs old

✅One lesson I wish I had given my 24-year-old self:

Your life is yours to carry. Fully. Gently. Powerfully.

Taking care of yourself, your needs, your healing, your joy, your boundaries is not a luxury. It’s your lifelong responsibility.

No one is coming to rescue you. Not a partner, not your parents, not your friends, not your boss. People can support you, but they cannot do the work for you. They’re not meant to.

For so long,I often carried silent expectations: waiting for someone to notice I was tired, struggling, or lost. And when they didn't, I would feel hurt or resentful.

I have since learnt that no one can truly know what I need unless I voice it. It's my responsibility to teach others how to show up for me by how well I show up for yourself.

In a world of extremes, we’re taught to pick sides:
• Be a martyr or be selfish
• Be soft or be harsh
• Say yes to everything or build walls around your life

For years, I thought the opposite of people-pleasing was selfishness.
So I picked the more “noble” one :Overgiving, Overextending, Overfunctioning . All while undercaring for myself

But here's the truth:
𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲-𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗥.

Fear of rejection
Fear of not being loved unless we perform
Fear that whispers, "If I'm just good enough, they'll stay."

Fear silences our truth to secure connection.
It puts on a smile… while burying the soul 😔

But what if there’s a third way?

🔥A way not rooted in fear, but in LOVE.
A love that begins within.
That honors your truth, your voice, your values without erasing others.

From this place:
💡 Boundaries become bridges
💡 Truth becomes an offering
💡 Service becomes sacred not self-erasing

This is the Third Way.
Serving from overflow, not depletion.
Loving from wholeness, not performance.
Living in truth, not fear.

To the former people-pleaser in you and me:
we don’t have to abandon our kindness.
we just have to anchor it in truth.
we don’t have to choose between others and ourselves.
There is room for both.❤️❤️

🤚Teaching chose me

I used to think purpose had to be BIG. Loud. Impressive.
You know—spotlights, stages, titles.
So after I graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree,I didn't want to teach, I chose what looked prestigious: banking and latter on moved into investments and insurance.

But deep down, the moments I felt most alive in my career were always the same ,when I was teaching whether it was a product, a skill, or a mindset... something would always light up inside me.

The crazy part? I had all the gifts for it all along:
Empathy. Intuition. A clear voice. Problem-solving skills but because it felt so “natural,” I didn’t think it counted.

And here’s the truth I’ve come to accept:
👉 I didn’t choose teaching. Teaching chose me and then I finally chose it.
When I finally surrendered to the truth—that I am a teacher at my core, peace returned. Joy followed and I felt trully aligned
Not because I had found something new, but because I had remembered who I was all along.

Isn’t it funny how we often overlook our purpose because it feels too ordinary?

💡 What flows from you naturally might just be your assignment.
?? What keeps calling you back, even when you try to ignore it?
Don’t brush it off.
That could be your true purpose sitting quietly in your everyday life.You don’t need permission.You’re already equipped.

In a culture where we are shamed and guilt tripped for making certain financial decisions,what is usually missed in these arguments is the understanding that financial decisions are often subjective,they largely depend on the environment,season and context of the decision maker.

It's time that we Redefined Financial Freedom for ourselves,not as something that shall happen some day in the future but as a journey that we can walk on a daily basis as we navigate the different seasons of our life.

Yes there are specific steps that I can take today to experience freedom now,what about you?

Trust your inner Wisdom!

When I saw the quote from Warren Buffet,it spoke right to my heart…
I used to worry that I would miss out on a great opportunity just because I wasn’t aware of it and so I spent a lot of time running all over and not really investing on anything at all…I was always looking out for the next big thing and just when I got in ,I would then be out as a new “bigger “opportunity presented itself.

There were opportunities that deep down I knew I had no business getting into but because they were recommended to me by a trusted colleague, friend ,neighbor or relative ,I blindly invested. I ignored my gut and heavily paid the price for it.
Every company will position its products as the best there is…As investors our responsibility is to make the best choice,not because somebody else has said so ,but because we understand it for ourselves and it best suits our needs .
Trust yourself…If it doesn’t sit well with you,it probably isn’t the right opportunity for you!

I have been scared:
Yes, you got me right, the only reason I haven’t posted anything in this page for 2 years is fear. You see, I’m a loud introvert ,the whole thing about posting in social media just makes me nervous, what will people say? Will they like what I say? And sometimes I would wonder ,do I have something really different to say…?
I know that with over 20 years of experience in banking, investments and insurance ,I certainly have something that would be of benefit to someone else. I have great value in me ,but I just allowed fear to stop me. I thought that maybe If I wait long enough, the fear will disappear…
Well ,2 years now and the fear hasn’t gone away and now I have just decided to do it scared.
What about you? are there things you know you should do but fear has held you back?
• Fear of what people will say
• Fear of judgement
• Fear of shame
• Fear of hurting the other person’s feeling
• Fear of being seen as bad or selfish
Here I am, Let’s just do it!
