From 5th - 7th October, I had a great time training amazing women from the great county of Mombasa on Ethical Personal Finance Management.

It was a great workshop as I trained them on Developing an abundant money mindset, Wealth Creation, Budgeting and How to Commercialize their skills and talents.

I also learnt from other speakers who talked on other topics like Insurance, Debt Management, Consumption habits, Savings and Investments, which are integral topics in Personal Finance Management.

A big appreciation to Madam Shamsa Abdi for organizing such a great successful workshop.

We now look forward to organizing more workshops and conferences to train more people on Ethical Personal Finance Management.

The first books I ever wrote and published in my writing career.

I wrote and published these books when a first year student approached me complaining that she was bad in Anatomy and that there were no enough revision papers.

I then decided to help her, and that is how I ended up writing these books and many other more.

Anatomy was one of my favorite units when I was in medical school, and that is why it was easier for me to write and publish these books.

Anatomy is one of the basic essential sciences of medicine which is the study of the structure of the body.

These are Anatomy revision books that help medical students particularly those studying Medicine and Surgery (MBChB), Clinical Medicine and Anatomy to study thid great Science.

These books which are mainly used by those in first and second years go for Kshs 1,999 and are available throughout the country and the globe.

Money and s*x have been taboo topics in many African homes.

Unlike the latter, people end up with myths about money that ends up to them having a poor mindset about money.

Today, I want to talk about some money myths that you need to avoid in order to develop an abundant money mindset.

1. MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL: Many people have grown up with the mindset that people with a lot of money are devil worshippers and women with money are gold-diggers. Money is not evil. Do away with this myth if you want to be wealthy.

2. MONEY CAN’T BUY YOU HAPPINESS: Money will pay your bills, get you good treatment, buy you good clothes and make you go to beautiful places. Studies have shown that happiness increases linearly with money.

3. BUDGETING IS RESTRICTING YOURSELF: Well is is not. Budgeting makes you account for your money, save and invest well and also helps you make more money.

4. YOU CAN’T SAVE IF YOU HAVE DEBT: With a good budgeting system, you can save and invest as you pay your debts.

5. INVESTING IS FOR THE RICH: No, it is not. Anyone can invest. Learn about investing and you’ll know better.

6. YOU CAN’T RETIRE UNTIL YOU ARE 65: You can retire at any age as long as you set SMART goals.

7. RENTING MEANS THROWING MONEY AWAY: Renting and owning a home are subjective as people have different goals. Renting may be in your best financial interest at times, and so do not get into the peer pressure of owning a home just because everyone is doing it.
