Milk reaches millions of Kenyan households every day. Here's what must go right before it gets there.
Every milk pouch that lands on a Kenyan breakfast table has to be clean, sealed, and strong enough to survive the journey from filling line to family table. When it fails, it's a food safety problem, a brand problem, and a supply chain problem at once.
Milk packaging is one of our most technically demanding areas of work. Every month, Bobmil prints approximately 600 tonnes of material for the milk category alone - for Brookside across their full long-life ranges including Tuzo and Ilara, Githunguri Dairy's Fresha Milk, and KCC Milk.
We manufacture using LDPE and LLDPE (low density polythene and linear low density polythene), a material combination engineered specifically for this application. LDPE delivers the flexibility, clarity, and food-safe neutrality the product demands. LLDPE brings the tensile strength and puncture resistance a liquid-filled pouch needs to survive high-speed filling lines and real-world handling. Together they produce a film that performs consistently where reliability is non-negotiable.
The print runs on our Miraflex CI Flexo press, which holds the film against a single central drum across every colour station. The result is the registration accuracy and colour consistency that national dairy brands depend on across millions of pouches, every run, without variance. This is not an easy task, but we have perfected it.
What makes this capability significant beyond dairy is that the same material structures and print processes apply directly across any category where durability, seal integrity, hygiene, and consistent print quality are the brief. Edible oils, flour, and fresh produce in food packaging. Juices and water sachets in beverages. Liquid soaps, detergents, and refill pouches in personal care and home care. Industrial liners and agricultural films. The product changes but the performance requirements don't.
600 tonnes a month in a single category means we are not simply a supplier to Kenya's dairy supply chain. We are part of its infrastructure, and the same standard applies to every other category we serve.
For brands that need a packaging partner operating at that level, the conversation starts here.
