🧩 UNDERSTANDING AUTISM: BEYOND THE DIAGNOSIS

What comes to your mind when you hear the word AUTISM?

“Doesn't talk?”

“Doesn't make eye contact?”

“Doesn't like people?”

“Lives in their own world?”

But what if autism is far more complex—and far more beautiful—than the stereotypes we've been taught?

This Tuesday, we go deeper. 💙

In STTE Class 2, we'll explore:

🌈 Why we say “spectrum”

🗣️ Communication beyond spoken words

👀 Social interaction and connection

🔄 Repetitive behaviours and special interests

🎧 Sensory differences

💪 Strengths, abilities and support needs

❤️ Why no two autistic children are the same

Most importantly, we'll learn to move from:

“What's wrong with this child?”

➡️ “How does this child experience the world?”

Because a diagnosis may describe some of a child's needs—

but it can never describe the whole child.
