AgroProIPM Agricultural Gypsum contains 20-24% sulfur that is required to transfer sunlight energy into plant growth. It is a big factor in the production of chlorophyll, which is why sulfur-deficient plants turn yellow.
Most importantly, sulfur is required to metabolize nitrogen. If a tissue test shows plants are low in sulfur, they also will be low in nitrogen.

Effects of Water Salinity on Soil
When salts build up in the soil or in the growing medium, their concentrations might become excessive. The purpose of soil amendments is to counter the effect of sodium by increasing the soluble calcium content or by increasing the salinity of the irrigation water. Gypsum is the most effective soil amendment products. Since water infiltration problems caused by sodium affect mainly the upper few centimetres of the soil, repeated small application of Gypsum, incorporated at right rates into a shallow depth are preferred over a single large application.
A good crop starts with a healthy soil environment.
