What inspired us?
Our internal team is made up experts who have dealt with Kenyans in the diaspora for a long time. They bring on board hope for those that have gone through stories of despair and discouragement. They have listened to people in the Diaspora agonize over losses ranging to millions. The pain is worsened by the fact that most of the time the people who hurt us the most are those closest to us, our relatives.
Moshene time...
A story is told of a young lady Sharon who went to the USA to study and later on started working to earn a living. She had a dream of coming back home one day and making a difference. She had hoped that she would build a house for her parent’s and later on something for herself. So she worked three jobs and saved and took a loan to build her dream house. So she got in touch with an uncle, after all family first and family never disappoints, or so she thought. Every month she sent in money, for mawe, for mchanga, for fundi and even for food and medical bills and for funerals that come up every now and then. She did receive beautiful pictures and videos of the progress as time went by. Finally, the building was finished and she decided to surprise people back home with an impromptu visit.
Lo and behold, she as shocked, discouraged and outraged at the same time when she discovered that even the foundation to the house that she believed was being built had not been laid. Diasporans, mnajua hii storo, it is a true story that most people in the diaspora can relate to. But what can you do? ,
