A KTDA team participated in a five-day Green Hydrogen training programme at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology as the Agency explores green hydrogen’s potential as a future source of clean energy and a sustainable feedstock for fertiliser production in the tea sector.

Sponsored by GIZ, the training strengthened the team’s understanding of green hydrogen technologies, production pathways, applications and opportunities for commercialisation.

The KTDA delegation comprised Mutuga Kigumi (Special Projects), Hellen Chepkowny (Planning & Strategy), Albert Murunga (Technical Services Department) and Margaret Wanjiru (KTDA Power Company).
