Hello Joseph Roberts Investigators
Please hide my identity.
I would like to raise concerns regarding the growing influence of Ann Kathure Rutere within several major businesses operating in South Sudan and the ongoing controversy surrounding businessman Akol Ayii.
There are widespread questions being asked about the circumstances surrounding Akol Ayii's continued detention and whether business interests, corporate control, and powerful political connections may be playing a role in the dispute. These concerns have generated significant public debate within South Sudan.
Ann Kathure has become one of the most influential business figures in the country, with interests linked to companies such as Trinity Energy, RAK Media, Pacific, Wayshire, Amoco Construction, Air Junub, and Citizen Newspaper. Given the scale of these business interests, many stakeholders believe there should be greater transparency regarding ownership, governance, and decision-making within these entities.
There are also concerns from some South Sudanese who feel that local professionals are increasingly being sidelined from senior positions while foreigners are being appointed to influential roles within key companies. These concerns deserve public discussion and independent verification.
Previous reports by international watchdog organizations have also raised questions regarding financial transparency and corporate governance linked to some business networks associated with powerful individuals in South Sudan. Given the public interest involved, many people believe the relevant authorities in both South Sudan and Kenya should independently examine these concerns and establish the facts.
The public deserves transparency, accountability, and clear answers regarding the management of major corporate assets, the treatment of local professionals, and any allegations of improper influence involving powerful business and political figures.
