🚧 **BIG BLOW TO RESIDENTS** 🚧

The sudden maintenance of the **Sigor–Kipsuter murram road** following the tragic death of Hon. Ngong Ngeno in a helicopter crash has raised serious concerns among residents.

For years, locals have endured the dusty, rough, and nearly impassable road without intervention. Now, hurried repairs and grading are being carried out only to facilitate access for mourners.

Residents are asking:
❓ Why now?
❓ Why does it take tragedy for action to be taken?

Development and road maintenance should not be reactionary. The people of Sigor and Kipsuter deserve consistent infrastructure improvement — not temporary fixes prompted by high-profile events.

Our roads matter every day — for school children, farmers, patients, and businesses — not just during times of mourning.

BOMET TREE HUGGING CHALLENGE

Zadock Kipkorir, the second-born of Kapchekulul,Ngwangoris Village in Merigi Ward, Bomet East Constituency, began a tree-hugging challenge on Wednesday at exactly 2:00 p.m.He has shown remarkable consistency by hugging a tree continuously for 72 hours outside Bomet Marketplace, set to complete on Saturday 2:00pm

Speaking to KR Media, Zadock revealed that he dropped out of Kipiosit Secondary School last year due to financial constraints and personal hardships.

After leaving school, he was employed as a herdsman in Narok County to meet his basic needs and support himself. He further disclosed that his family has no permanent home and often depends on friends for shelter.

Zadock says his challenge is driven by his strong stance against drug abuse, which inspired him to take action by emulating President Ruto’s directive urging young people to abstain from drugs.

Touched by his determination and resilience, members of the Bomet town community have vowed to change his life by supporting his return to school and helping build a house for his family.
