BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER FOR AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING COMPANY
Our client, in the electrical engineering industry is looking to fill the position of a Business Development Manager. S/He will be accountable for finding customers and finding new ways to provide customers with the satisfactions they derive from the company at the best cost and with greater ease.
Among their main roles will be to:
• Arrange business meetings with existing and prospective clients, and develop proposals that promote marketing opportunities
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients with the goal of growing and retaining existing clients
• Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategies to meet changing market and competitive conditions.
• Develop and implement branding and marketing strategies for both new and existing services.
• Oversee the development and delivery of a fully integrated marketing strategy for the business
• Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
• Influence present and future services by determining and evaluating current and future market trends.
• Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client expansion.
• Develop pricing strategies to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
• Pitch, negotiate and close deals

ACCOUNTANT POSITION
Roles and Responsibilities
 Leads, supervises and directs the accounting department.
 Responsible for managing the general accounting function.
 Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
 Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined within the department.
 Responsible for the development of policies and systems
 Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure and importance for the organization.
 Prepares financial documents (both for internal and client use) and presenting them to the board
 Any other assignment delegated to them.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Must have a degree in accounting or Business Management
• Have CPA to ATLEAST section IV or ACCA or CIFA
• 2-3 years working experience (previous experience in a financial consulting firm is an added advantage)
• Sound knowledge of Quickbooks
• Strong reporting, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Salary: Ksh 40,000 - 45,000
Employment: 6 months contract (Renewable depending on performance)

BOOK KEEPER POSITION

The person is responsible for computing, classifying and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Applying strong accounting skills, including A/P, A/R, purchasing backup, journal entries, and all bookkeeping through financial statement preparation
• Make recommendations on how to improve financial operations
• Compiles statistical, financial, accounting or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters
• Does bank Reconciliations, completing VAT returns and statutory payments
• Handles client payroll.
• Maintaining records according to generally accepted accounting principles including the recordation of general journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and reconciliation of bank statements
• Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
 Must have CPA to at least section 5
 Degree is an added advantage
 Must be proficient at using Quickbooks
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills
 At least 1 year experience in a similar position
 Must have analytical skills

This is not permanent employment but a 6 months contract renewable depending n performance

Salary Ksh 15,000 – 20,000 net

GENERAL ACCOUNTANT
We are looking for a qualified Accountant to handle prepare, compute, manage, research and analyze all accounting data, in order to provide quantitative information on performance, financial position, solvency, liquidity and cash flows of our business.
Responsibilities
• Manage all accounting operations based on accounting principles
• Prepare budgets and financial forecasts and publish financial statements in time
• Conduct month-end and year-end close process
• Collect, analyze and summarize accounting information
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns.
• Develop periodic reports such as: balance sheet, profit/loss statement and any other reports as required by management
• Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures
• Keep information confidential and secure them with random database backups
• Keep up with financial policies, regulation and legislation
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Observes local financial and legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions
• Guides accounting clerical staff by coordinating their activities and training them.
Requirements
• Proven working experience as a general accountant for at least 3 years
• Thorough knowledge of accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
• Strong reporting skills
• Excellent accounting software user
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality
• Must have done CPA to at least part IV
• Degree in Accounting will be an added advantage
• Past experience at a manufacturing industry will be an added advantage
• Must have worked as a team leader
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
