Through our partnership with the Warehouse Receipt System Council (WRSC), agriBORA continues to advance stakeholder participation in Kenya's structured agricultural markets by creating awareness and building capacity among farmers and cooperative leaders across Uasin Gishu County.
Recently, over 300 farmers drawn from Kaptebee, Ngeny, Olare, Ainabkoi, and Cheptiret cooperatives were sensitized on the opportunities presented by the Warehouse Receipt System (WRS) and agriGHALA, agriBORA's structured grain trading platform.
The engagement focused on key areas that directly impact farmer profitability and market competitiveness, including:
🌾 Post-harvest handling and grain quality management
🏢 Certified grain storage and warehouse receipting
💰 Access to affordable financing using stored grain as collateral
📈 Structured market access and informed marketing decisions
At agriBORA, we believe that grain should be more than a commodity—it should be a financeable asset. Through agriGHALA, farmers can safely store grain, preserve quality, access liquidity when needed, and sell into structured markets at the right time.
Together with WRSC and our partners, we are helping build a more transparent, efficient, and inclusive agricultural marketing system that reduces post-harvest losses, strengthens food security, and improves returns for farmers.
The future of grain trade lies in trusted systems, quality assurance, and market transparency—and we are proud to be part of that transformation.
