KIFWA ENGAGES IN GREEN CUSTOMS CURRICULUM LAUNCH
KIFWA leadership participated in the launch of the 4th module of the Green Customs Curriculum – Facilitation of Safe & Efficient Green Trade, spearheaded by the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
The event brought together key stakeholders in Customs, freight forwarding and trade facilitation, highlighting the importance of building capacity for the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible movement of goods across the East African Community.
The fourth module builds on the first three modules, which focused on strengthening the capacity of Customs and border control officers in identifying, monitoring, inspecting and clearing goods.
For freight forwarders and other players in the logistics and trade facilitation sector, the curriculum is particularly relevant, especially in promoting compliance, safe handling and movement of dangerous goods, and reducing risks to people and the environment.
KIFWA remains committed to supporting initiatives that strengthen professionalism, compliance, safety and sustainable trade facilitation across the logistics and freight forwarding industry.
