✅About the Role
Our client is seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its corporate tax practice. This role will support business income tax planning, corporate tax compliance, and ASC 740 income tax accounting, including tax provision preparation and audit support.
The Corporate Tax Manager will manage multiple client engagements, supervise tax professionals, review tax returns, provide technical tax guidance, and maintain strong client relationships.
✅Key Responsibilities
* Manage tax engagements from planning through completion, including ex*****on, budgeting, and delivery.
* Supervise, train, and mentor senior associates, associates, and interns.
* Review staff performance and provide engagement feedback.
* Review corporate tax returns for accuracy and identify tax savings opportunities.
* Conduct primary reviews of ASC 740 income tax provision engagements.
* Research and advise on various corporate tax matters.
* Prepare and process tax returns using tax-related software.
* Respond to inquiries from the IRS, state, and other tax authorities.
* Work directly with client management and staff to gather information and complete tax engagements.
* Develop an understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
* Identify opportunities to provide additional tax services to existing and prospective clients.
* Collaborate with tax specialists and other members of the tax practice.
* Maintain professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
* Attend professional development and training programs.
* Travel as needed.
✅Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
* 4–7 years of progressive tax compliance and/or tax consulting experience.
* CPA or JD with an active law license required.
* Corporate income tax experience.
* Strong knowledge of ASC 740 Accounting for Income Taxes.
* Strong understanding of US GAAP and corporate income tax laws and regulations.
* Knowledge of state and local income taxes, international taxation, and transfer pricing.
* Public accounting experience preferred.
* Experience with OneSource Tax Provision preferred.
* Strong analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
* Excellent client service, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Strong teamwork and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
* Willingness to travel as required.
