SALES INTERN POSITION.

Our client, a distribution company dealing with cosmetics and personal care products is searching for a committed, deadline-driven sales intern to join our excellent sales team across the country. The sales intern will complete all tasks assigned by the area sales representative, which may include identifying business opportunities, generating sales leads, door to door sale of products, and assisting the sales department wherever possible. You should be able to take instructions, but also work unsupervised where required. To be successful as a sales intern, you should be willing to learn as much about the company as possible and be able to spot opportunities that have been overlooked by others. Outstanding sales interns are problem solvers who know the value of building lasting, professional relationships with clients.

REQUIREMENTS.

INTERNAL AUDITORS - UGANDA
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
To examine the soundness and adequacy of financial, stock management systems, procedures and other internal control systems in the Region and report any deviance from the policies and procedures and advise management on the corrective or remedial action.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Carrying out value for money audits in the region to ensure that the regional expenditures are worthwhile and realistic.
2. Reviewing and ensuring that the stock and Cash management policies are adhered to at all times.
3. Lead the risk assessment programmes in the region and providing advice on the company’s policies, procedures and practices focused on effective and efficient management of risk to acceptable levels.
4. Providing support to Regional Managers as they implement approved financial and stock management procedures including advising them on the implications on internal control systems.
5. Producing weekly, monthly and quarterly audit reports to the Internal Audit Manager.
6. Conducting regular stock taking exercises in the region to ensure that the stock statements match the physical status of stock in the shop.
7. Always audit and update the assets of the company. (Asset Management) by reviewing records pertaining to these to ensure that they are properly procured, maintained and recorded.
8. Do stock and cash counts on outlets to ensure zero pilferage within the system
9. Appraise progressively the soundness adequacy and application of the internal controls systems of the company.
10. Work hand in hand with the external auditor as and when needed.

11. Be called upon to carry out ad hoc audit assignments and investigations as an individual as well as a team.

12. Conduct intensive training to regional staff on internal controls , processes and test compliance levels

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS ( KPI’s)
Complete and accurate data and information to management
Timely ex*****on and reporting of audit assignments
Meeting audit targets and assignments on time.
High level of compliance and strong internal controls within the region.
Stability of the region and positive results
Fraud levels kept at bare minimum

Few cases of inventory issues and variances
Few cases of fraud and court cases

• attending meetings with auditees to develop an understanding of business processes;

That as a Branch Manager of the Limited (WATT) you are supposed and are under obligation to undertake the obligations enumerated below which will be part of your employment agreement;

1. QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in International Air Transport Association IATA & United Federation of Travel Agents Association UFTAA (Diploma in IATA/ UFTAA).
Able to work and manage staff travel consultants, Accountants, Cashiers, Secretary etc.
Able to work independently, extra skills and marketing and management will be added value.
Able to do and to oversee all the ticket bookings done by travel consultancy and be able to make decisions on service charges before issuing all the tickets.
Be able to work with all Airlines, GDS providers and None GDS providers as the Company is IATA Accredited.
Able to work with health insurance providers for ticketing where it is mandatory.
Advise clients all the requirements prior, during and after travel on policy as required by Airline and Countries of destinations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Submitting a written (not verbal report) report on a daily/weekly basis to the Chief Executive Officer and the Managing Director of the company.
2. Overseeing the overall management of the branch’s daily business;
3. Overseeing smooth governmental and non-governmental organization service provision and payment procedures are followed i.e. Issuance of pro forma





invoice, local purchase order, payments, issuance of receipt, banking of the payments and reconciliation of the bank statement.
4. Receive daily report from accounts, credit control and sales departments and approve or disapprove the reports on a daily basis.
5. Overseeing the banking of the proceeds from the company’s business;

9. Selling and overseeing the general sales of travel products and tour packages;
10. Sourcing products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism;
11. Taking part in familiarisation visits to new destinations in order to gain information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers;
12. Liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules, often one year in advance;
13. Dealing with customer enquiries and aiming to meet their expectations;
14. Overseeing the smooth, efficient running of the business.
15. Constantly motivating the sales team to hit their targets and ensure company profitability;
16. Meeting regularly with team leaders to give them sales figures and plan how they approach their work;
17. Meeting company directors who advise on strategy and finding out about any local issues and future trends;
18. Overseeing the recruitment, selection and retention of staff as well as payroll matters and staff training;
19. Organising incentives, bonus schemes and competitions;
20. Communicating with sales consultants and providing encouragement, help and advice;
21. Ensuring the company regulations are followed and abided
22. Ensuring and encouraging a team spirit in the company and avoid self interest groups;
23. Dealing with disciplinary matters and customer complaints.

OVERVIEW OF ROLE
Participate in innovative technical research and development programs perform in-house research activities. Provide technical support to the organization’s research.

KEY RESULTS AREAS:
• Perform high quality in-house research activities in the field
• Manages and directs the research and development programs to meet organizational needs and to capitalize on potential new products.
• Develops and implements research and development procedures and techniques.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Supervises the management of multiple and diverse types of products or services.
• Designs working prototypes of a variety of proposed products or services.
• Develops proof-of-concept exercises to prove or disprove validity of proposed products.

• A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Experience in fields related to image processing, image analysis, computer vision, machine learning, pattern recognition, statistical methods, numerical methods, and computer graphics is an advantage.
• Ability to: operate at a very high level; work to deadlines; execute high level research projects
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively work with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community.
