FACT: More than 75 percent of Kenyans make some part of their living in agriculture, and the sector accounts for more than a fourth of Kenya's gross domestic product (GDP). Agriculture hence remains the most important economic activity in Kenya.
How then do we ensure sustainability? Sustainable consumption and production requires fostering a policy and market environment that promotes social inclusion and economic well-being. Fairtrade Africa is the first organization to organize a sitting to discuss this very important issue. This organization represents over 932,000 small holder farmers and workers in Africa, over 300,000 of whom are in Kenya.
To be part of this very important discussion, that looks at transforming agricultural practices and trade in Africa, register yourself for the Africa Fairtrade Convention, happening on 22nd - 26th February at Kenya School of Monetary Studies.
