How to develop integrated strategy for sustainable progress .

In 21st century the strongest challenge for Humanity is to develop integrated (macro-meso-micro) strategy for sustainable progress (unlimited space-time-resources-products).

It is necessary to define and apply in a systemic manner:
- Concepts: progress, sustainability, coopetition, competitiveness, integrated innovation,
- New methods for sustainable progress strategy (unlimited space-time-resources-products in Universe / Multiverse; macro-meso-micro integrated),
- New methods for development of sustainable progress culture.
The progress in the Universe / Multiverse is a category of the becoming / change and it is achieved in the space-time-resources-products domains of various dimensions, embedded hierarchic levels, characteristics and life durations, within the life cycle of the various domains components (real systems).

Progress is defined by the system evolution whose characteristics is the cyclic (through cycles c and generations g), optimal, temporary or lasting / sustainable increase of
- competitiveness (competing capacity, flexibility of products offer, value of products offer, availability of resources, efficiency,
demand and / or acceptance in the proximate external environment),
- of the structural-functional complexity,
- of the structural-functional diversity,
- of the structural-functional integration,
- of the welfare
of entities in the hierarchy of the systems internal and external environments in a domain space-time-resources-products of Universe / Multiverse.

The determinant categories of the sustainable progress in a space-time-resources-products domain are: (1) Sustainable resources and environments; (2) Sustainable competitive power; (3) Sustainable / self-sustainable stability; (4) Sustainable integrative innovation; (5) Competitiveness and sustainable competitiveness program / culture; (6) Sustainable periodic welfare; (7) Sustainable activation / entrepreneurship and mobility in the same domain or / and in other domains, more favorable for the future sustainable progress.

EIGHT HIDDEN NEEDS.
The 8 Hidden needs are a set of implicit needs innate in people that can be exploited to persuade consumers.
The theory underlying the 8
Hidden Needs has been created by Vance Packhard in the 1950s and explained in his 1957 book “The Hidden Persuaders” Packhard, an American journalist, researcher and author, studied how advertisers and political leaders are able to impress their audience by targeting some emotions associated with people needs According to his theory, this type of persuasion is more effective than that aimed at satisfying the basic needs described
by Maslow.
Packhard's 8 Hidden Needs are:
1. Emotional Security : the world proposes many threats and people generally feel unsafe due to diseases, wars, criminality, pollution, and so on. Moreover, the nature of human being is fragile and very few people are able to find emotional security in thei inside. This feeling triggers the need for buying products and services able to confer safety, comfort and happiness.
2. Reassurance of Worth: in a hyper competitive and impersonal world, people need to feel recognized and valued for what they do and what they are. Many people don’t get the credits they deserve from interpersonal relationships and their private lives, thus they need a product that endorses their role in the society. Housewives, for instance, are often attracted to certain products that promise to make them better wives. Compare McClelland's Need for Achievement
3. Ego Gratification: in a world that is standardizing behaviors and lifestyles everyone needs to feel special and personally gratified, just like it is done with children. Some products seem to be tailored to boost our appeal or happiness, and people are keen on paying a premium price to get a self-gratification and feel unique. An example can be a branded aftershave, or a platinum credit card.
4. Creative Outlets: in a fully automated world people have little room for creativity in their work. To compensate for the lack of creativity, people find a substitute through products that enable them to be creative: products in an assembly kit, food ingredients, home improvements objects and many hobby-related activities (Lego). By purchasing these products, people can demonstrate their handicraft skills to themselves and others.

Innovations are created primarily by investment in intangibles. When such investments are commercially successful, and are protected by patents or first-mover advantages, they are transformed into tangible assets creating corporate value and growth.

Beneke comes to Nairobi with:

CRITICAL PATH
ANALYSIS.
Critical Path Analysis (CPA) is a type of
network analysis planning technique
that is used to plan and manage
complicated projects or business
processes.
CPA is a form of network analysis
used to decide the continuous chain
of operations critical to completion of
a project or business process by its
scheduled completion date.
It was developed in the 1950s to
manage large defense projects.
APPLICATIONS OF CRITICAL PATH
ANALYSIS
Lay out all tasks that have to be
completed as part of a complex
project
Basis for preparation of detailed
schedules and resource planning
Monitor the progress of goals
Signal the need for remedial action in
case of problems in the project. CPA
shows diagrammatically the
interrelations in sequence of all the
activities in a project / business
process in such a way as to highlight,
which are critical for the due
performance of the overall work.

problem root cause, as far as I know from previous knowledge, we should avoid asking: who? Because the intention is not to blame people, but to fix the system....

FORMS OF DEBT COVENANTS.
Debt covenants can be differentiated into affirmative covenants and negative covenants:
Affirmative Covenants : clauses in
debt contracts that the borrower must maintain certain levels of Working Capital, Financial Leverage , or financial ratios (Gearing Ratio ), adhere to and generally include using the loan for the agreed-upon purpose, fulfill certain financial and reporting requirements, adhering to laws, allowing the lender to inspect business assets and documents, as well as maintaining business records
and business properties.

Negative Covenants : clauses in debt contracts that limit or prohibit corporate actions (e.g. sale of assets, payment of dividends, mergers and acquisitions, limits on total indebtness and investment of funds) that could impair the position of creditors. These
covenants tend to be more significant and even more intensively negotiated than affirmative covenants, as they
place direct restrictions on the actions borrowers can take.

BENEFITS OF DEBT COVENANTS.
For Creditors: Debt covenants benefit creditors by reducing default risk.
For Borrowers: Lower cost of debt. The lower default risk generally translates into lower cost of debt, due to the fact that creditors are willing to offer loans at lower rates of interest.

ACTION RESEARCH.
Action Research (AR) is a (typically cyclic or spiral) process for planning change interventions and for intentional learning from experience, first described by social psychologist Kurt Lewin ('46) .
The method is characterized by intervention in real world systems, followed by close scrutiny of the effects.
The aim of AR aim is to improve practice, and AR is typically conducted by a combined team of practitioners and researchers.
AR can also be described as the process by which practitioners attempt to study their problems scientifically in order to guide, correct, and evaluate their decisions and actions. (Stephen Corey, 1953). Or more simply, as researching on the
implications or effect of an action that is planned to resolve a certain problem.
It is an informal, qualitative, interpretive, reflective, collaborative and experimental methodology that requires all the participants to be
collaborative researchers. AR is usually carried out by people who recognize a problem or limitation in
a workplace situation and,
together, devise a plan to counteract the problem, implement the plan,
observe what happens reflect on these outcomes, revise the plan, implement it, reflect, revise and so on.
In a way the AR method combines the strengths of academic research (objective, scientific, but not
necessarily relevant) and consulting research (often subjective and case-based, often not very scientific, but
tuned towards relevancy).
