Meet Us at Angola Oil & Gas 2026 Conference | AOG 2026 Conference & Exhibition

From September 9-10, 2026, Paul Abdi will represent GardaWorld Africa at the Angola Oil & Gas Conference & Exhibition at the Talatona Convention Center (CCTA) in Luanda, Angola.

In complex operating environments, success depends on more than physical protection. Organizations require a clear understanding of risk, operational visibility, and integrated support that enables informed decision-making.

GardaWorld Africa supports energy and industrial operations through:
• Information Services and Risk Intelligence
• Risk Assessments and Advisory Services
• Journey Management and Logistics Support
• Remote Monitoring Solutions (RMS)
• Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS)
• Crisis Management and Business Continuity Support
• Protective Services and K9 Protection

By combining intelligence, technology, and operational expertise, we help organizations strengthen resilience, protect critical assets, and maintain continuity across the entire operational lifecycle.

We look forward to connecting with industry stakeholders and discussing how integrated risk management can help organizations operate more effectively in Angola and across Africa.

If you're attending AOG 2026, we'd welcome the opportunity to connect.

The Colonial Pipeline shutdown in the US in 2021 wasn't a cyberattack on the operating system of the pipeline. It was a cyberattack on the IT & billing system that made the pipeline operator shut the whole system down as a precaution while they verified what else the intrusion had touched.

That's the convergence problem in one sentence. The breach doesn't have to reach the operational technology to stop the operation.

For years, physical security and cybersecurity have been run as separate disciplines with separate budgets, separate teams, and separate incident playbooks. That separation made sense when the two threats stayed in their lanes. They no longer do.

A compromised badge system is a physical access failure with a digital root cause.

A drone flown over a substation to map camera blind spots is reconnaissance for a physical breach, run through digital means.

For operators of critical infrastructure, the practical question isn't "which team owns this." It's whether your incident response plan has a single point of coordination when an event doesn't respect the line between physical and digital, because most real events don't.

Your World. Our Priority.

An Embedded Security Manager is one of our people, placed inside a client’s operation, backed by GardaWorld Security’s global reach when something needs to move fast.

Ground truth and real-time judgment on-site. Reachback and resources behind it.

Where a client's environment calls for continuous integrated presence, an Embedded Security Manager works alongside their team day to day, shaping live decisions with local context and the group's full intelligence and logistics picture behind them.

Security clients today need coverage in more places, under more pressure, with less margin for error. This is a challenge for the industry's talent pipeline.

A single assignment can demand physical protection, logistics, technical surveillance, and medical response — often in the same 48 hours. Baseline certification does not prepare anyone for that.

That is why we build our own talent pipeline. At GardaWorld Security – Critical Infrastructure & Government Services, we recruit and train locally in the markets where we operate, so our teams bring both operational depth and community trust. Training goes well beyond regulatory minimums and continues on live assignments, keeping our people sharp against the threats that clients actually face.

Our services are backed by a 24/7 global reach, logistics capability and ESG compliance standards, meaning that clients benefit from both global and local expertise.

Over two centuries of combined operational experience lead GardaWorld Security – Critical Infrastructure & Government Services across its EMENA footprint.

That experience sits with the regional directors and their management teams running protective and risk management operations in some of the most demanding markets in the world.

Diplomatic compounds. Energy and extractives sites. Government and development programs operating in fragile or recovering states. Each environment requires a different operating model and a different read of the risk in front of it.

What holds constant across every geography is the discipline of leading multicultural teams day to day, not managing them from a distance. These are operators who spent years working in dynamic environments before they ever led a team in one, and that firsthand experience is what client organizations benefit from when they engage us.

200+ years of institutional expertise, applied daily, across every region we operate in.

Most critical infrastructure attacks do not start with a dramatic breach.

They start with something smaller. A vendor access point. An outdated protocol. A gap between the physical perimeter and the digital one that nobody formally owns.

We have put together four things we are seeing across our operating markets right now that GardaWorld Security – Critical Infrastructure & Government Services clients are paying attention to. Not predictions. Observations from the ground.

What happens when ambition meets opportunity?

At Groupe Scolaire Kabuye Technical Secondary School in Rwanda, more than 200 Electrical Technology students are preparing for careers in one of Africa's fastest-growing sectors: renewable energy. Yet for many aspiring technicians, the challenge was clear. Without access to essential solar photovoltaic (PV) equipment, learning remained largely theoretical, limiting the practical experience needed to thrive in the workplace.

To help bridge this gap, GardaWorld Security Africa donated solar PV training equipment, including portable solar power generation trainers, solar panels, charge controllers, batteries, inverters, and cabling.

This investment is transforming classroom learning into hands-on experience, enabling students to develop the practical skills required to install, maintain, and troubleshoot solar energy systems.

At GardaWorld Security Africa, creating safer environments extends beyond security. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives, we invest in education, skills development, community empowerment, environmental sustainability, and programs that create lasting social impact across the continent.

Are you prepared for more than one election scenario?

GardaWorld Security Africa Information Services provide intelligence-led reporting, situational awareness, election monitoring, and analyst insights that help organizations assess different scenarios and prepare with confidence.

Because effective risk management is not about predicting one outcome.

Are you prepared for policy risk before it reaches your business?

As Zambia approaches its 13 August election, organizations need more than assumptions. They need timely intelligence to understand changes that could affect operations, investments, compliance obligations, supply chains and business continuity.

Because the real risk is not the election itself. The real risk is being unprepared for change.

GardaWorld Security Africa Information Services help organizations monitor political, operational, regulatory and security changes across the continent through intelligence-led reporting, risk monitoring, situational awareness and analyst support.

Supported locally by GardaWorld Security Zambia, our teams help businesses be prepared for change, mitigate risk and make informed operational decisions with confidence.

Will your operations be ready for the changes that unfold?
