Kenyan education system has been producing too many job seekers but very few entrepreneurs (job creators). Blame the education system, blame our upbringing where parents want their children to work hard in school, pass exams, graduate and get a good job with leading private companies and government agencies. Kenyan public and private universities are churning out around 50, 000 graduates every yea
r piling onto the number of unemployed youth in the country estimated at 2.3 million, according to the ministry of Education. These graduates, especially those from less fortunate backgrounds, are now forced to engage in menial jobs to survive. Moving forward we need to change our mindset as a nation. We need to encourage and support young people to get into business. We all have relatives, friends, neighbors who despite graduating from our best universities are jobless with no hope of finding a job in the near future. If you are employed by leading institutions in Kenya, the government, or you have your own business, I am sure you are flooded with CVs from friends and relatives, recent graduates who are jobless. They can’t understand how comes you can’t find them a job. They think you are selfish you don’t want to help. While it is difficult or close to impossible to get them a job, there is a way you can create employment for these jobless graduates. We have brought to Kenya a youth job creation initiative, which is becoming widely emulated across Africa. This job / wealth creation model was pioneered in Asia and has helped many young people in countries such as Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia. This is a social kind of enterprise where:
• You invest money (Minimum Kshs 155,000) to start a business using our proven award winning business model
• With Kshs 155,000 you get goods worth Kshs 180,000
• You bring between 2 and 8 recent graduates who are highly motivated and are jobless.
• We provide these graduates with 2 weeks of business training. We shall build a sales force for you!
• These graduates will go out there and market the products you purchased on your behalf. You are already a job creator
• Within a maximum of 2 months the goods are sold and you have recovered your investment
• The business will continue to grow whereby you will earn commissions from the sales done your sales force
In some years this business can give you residual income in excess of Kshs 100,000 every month and depending on how committed your sales force is, your earnings can go even up to a million a month in 5 to 10 years. Become a social entrepreneur and let us act as the change agents for society, seizing opportunities others miss to improve systems, invent new approaches, and create solutions to change society for the better.
