There were two men both whom decided to get a horse. One man found a red Rhone with much spirit. The other chose one more docile. They would go riding together every day. It so happened on the route they would take around the countryside, there was a ditch about eight or nine feet wide, after a time it was apparent that the Rhone's spirit could not be shaken and he gave everything he had in all he did. When coming up to this gap in the trail he hurled it the first time. Because of the spirit in him he was quick to respond and jumped it with no problem. Yet the more docile horse would balk every time he came to the edge. He wasn't sure of the distance; he would stand on the edge trembling with indecision and doubt because the distance to him looked too great. Then one day after awhile, coming up to the ditch and watching his companion take it with ease, something happened within him, a knowing was born that he could too. So with agility and ease he gracefully bounded over the barrier.

Life is much like the two horses. When we as people come up against trials or situations we just don't feel like we can make the distance or that it just is too big and we don't know if we'll make it. So we balk standing on the edge trembling. It's not until we depend upon the spirit within. Then we are able to make it with ease. Until we quit looking at the obstacle or trial through our eyes, they will always seem too big for us. But there is a spirit within us that can judge the distance to the other side and will give us the strength to make it through it.

As long as we let it.

It all comes to a choice whether we look for the spirit within or just stand on the edge and balk. We will always have a choice.

A man found an eagle's egg and put it in a nest of a barnyard hen. The eagle hatched with the brood of chicks and grew up with them. All his life, the eagle did what the barnyard chicks did, thinking he was a barnyard chicken. He scratched the earth for worms and insects. He clucked and cackled. And he thrashed his wings and flew a few feet in the air. Years passed and the eagle grew very old. One day he saw a magnificent bird above him in the cloudless sky. It glided in graceful majesty among powerful wind currents, with scarcely a beat of its strong, golden wings.

The old eagle looked up in awe. 'Who’s that?' he asked.

'That's the eagle, the king of the birds,' said his neighbour. 'He belongs to the sky. We belong to the earth – we're chickens.'

So the eagle lived and died a chicken, for that is what he thought he was.

You and I were meant for the skies – not the chicken coop. Who will believe in you if you don't believe in yourself?

Wealth is waiting to be conquered by anyone who can master the art of managing money. Over the years people have been encouraged to work harder or even take up multiple jobs so as to increase their income levels. This, does not necessarily lead to the attainment of wealth. All one needs is to make money work for you. From your income, ensure you save at least 30% of it and invest half of this saving in an income generating activity. Also of importance is to manage your expenses. Ensure that it does not surpass 50% of your income. Here is a way of ensuring your expenses remain below the 50% mark:
P - Postpone expenses that are not urgent and have little effect in your life.
E - Eliminate any unnecessary expenses like buying newspaper while you can read it from the comfort and convenience of your phone.
R - Reduce expenses that are not of utmost importance and you can survive without. Going for outs every weekend. Reduce it to twice or once a month.
K - Keep the most important expenses which have a direct impact in your life and without them grave consequences will be felt, like food and rent expenses
The amount of money you recoup from your this expense saving strategy should be invested in an income generating activity which increases the share of the income generating activity by at least 10%. Eventually one will have multiple sources of income that is your regular job and the business(es) started.
Always remember that wealth creation is a journey that starts with the decision to manage money.

NEVER GIVE UP

Walt Disney
The man who has affected generations to come with his cartoon creations, was once considered a failure. Disney was fired by the editor in 1919 from his job at the Kansas City Star paper because he “lacked imagination and had no good ideas.” However, the man who brought us Mickey Mouse and a slew of other characters didn’t stop failing there.

Disney’s first go at business landed in bankruptcy when he acquired an animation studio by the name of Laugh-O-Gram. The company was acquired because, at the time, Disney’s cartoon creations had gained popularity in the Kansas City area. But, when he hired on salaried employees, he was unable to manage money and the business wound up heavily in debt. Subsequently, he filed for bankruptcy and moved to Hollywood, California.

The early failures in Disney’s life didn’t dissuade him from moving forward. Of course, like anyone else, Disney’s failures were a blow to the ego. Anyone that has to suffer through the torment of failure and bankruptcy knows how this feels. However, it also laid the foundation for a successful career. When he formed the Walt Disney Company, all of his past failures helped to pave the way for a successful business.

Disney and the Walt Disney Company have touched the lives of millions across the globe. From cartoons, to theme parks, and animated movies, both children and adults now enjoy the fruits of Disney’s labor. Had he given up, things would have been far different. But he persevered, even through bankruptcy.
