On June 5th, 2024, DiscoverBrands in partnership with , commemorated with .des.champions , Ocean Climate Innovation Hub, -TUM, Eco-Team, , Ukunda Vocational Training Center Environmental Conservation Club and Health + Environmental Research Institute. We were also joined by the inspiring women of Bodo and Funzi Island, part of the mangrove restoration team through Umita and Vlinder.

The day was an adventure filled with fun and learning. We visited Funzi Island and Kinazini Island, where we planted over 500 mangrove seedlings. Participants from various sectors shared knowledge as we cruised through the scenic Funzi Lagoon. During our educational dhow excursion, we marveled at the picturesque flora and fauna of Funzi Island and surrounding.
