Kenya is living through truly defining and interesting times 🇰🇪

Over the past few months, the nation has steadily transformed into a hive of activity, cranes on the skyline, roads opening up, rivers being reclaimed, and long-overdue urban renewal finally taking shape. Despite the economic and social challenges, the direction is unmistakable: a bold push toward a modern, organized, and future-ready Kenya.

From landmark national projects such as a world-class 60,000-seater stadium along Ngong Road and the expansion of Bomas into the largest conference centre in East and Central Africa, to the life-changing affordable housing upgrades in Mukuru kwa Njenga and Kibera, development is touching both the skyline and the grassroots. Add to this the Nairobi River regeneration turning what was once a dark sewer into clean flowing water with green walkways and public spaces and a powerful new urban vision emerges.

It is an ambitious journey, filled with hard choices and growing pains, but one driven by a clear goal: transforming Kenya into a clean, efficient, and globally competitive nation. This is the road to Singapore and Kenya is firmly on it.

When we woke up that morning, the air still carried the cool calm of the highlands. The day before had ended beautifully dinner shared with our driver-guide, a man whose knowledge of the wild could fill libraries. He spoke with passion about lions, stars, and stories older than time itself. Over the meal, we planned our next adventure a full-day safari, packed lunches ready, spirits higher than the hills around us.

Dinner that night was a mood on its own. The table glowed under soft amber light, laughter drifting like smoke between courses. My wife, glowing and relaxed, had her Versatile Rosé perfectly chilled, her giggles the music of the night. I went with my usual, a glass of already chilled Chardonnay to start, then a double shot of Glenfiddich to close the chapter right.

By the time the Maasai dancers arrived, the atmosphere had shifted from calm to electric. Their chants rose to the stars, feet stomping in rhythm with sounds that spoke straight to the soul. We couldn’t resist we joined in. The ground shook beneath us, laughter and music blending in pure freedom.
