TIME WE REMODELED THE SENATE?: The Kenyan Constitution heavily borrowed the governance frameworks from different charters across the globe some of these being the South African and American. The current tiff between the Senate and National Assembly & to some extent the County Govts is not new. Perhaps it is time we looked at South Africa that has got its Senate abolished twice (1981 & 1997) and remodeled into National Council of Provinces to safeguard the interests of the provinces in the national sphere.
