Why you might not be getting a remote job.

1. You don't have a LinkedIn profile (and if you have one, it's not optimized).

2. You only apply to the 'easy' jobs, thinking you have a higher chance of getting hired (huge mistake).

3. You apply to every 'remote' job without having a specific niche.

4. Your resume is unprofessional, possibly created using online resume builders or generic templates. Some even include a passport photo, which is not recommended.

5. You don't have an online presence beyond LinkedIn.

6. You write a poor cover letter using generic openings like 'Dear Sir/Madam,' 'Dear Hiring Manager,' or 'To whom it may concern.'

7. You focus on quantity over quality, sending out 20 proposals daily without tailoring them to the specific job.

8. You apply to fake or nonexistent jobs without researching their authenticity.

9. You prioritize hard skills over soft skills.

10. You confuse a CV with a resume (they are not the same).

11. You lack the necessary tools for remote jobs, many of which are free.

12. You don't understand how the Application Tracking System (ATS) works.

𝟏𝟎 𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐮𝐬:

1. Accept what you cannot change. This is one of the most essential lessons in Meditations. It is important to accept things out of our control, such as the weather or other people's behavior.
2. Focus on the present moment. The past is gone, and the future is uncertain, so it is essential to focus on the present moment. This will help us to be more mindful and aware of our surroundings.
3. Live in accordance with nature. Marcus Aurelius believed that we should live in accordance with nature. This means living a simple life and being grateful for what we have.
4. Be kind to yourself and others. We should be kind to ourselves and others, even when they are not kind to us. This will help us to live a more harmonious and peaceful life.
5. Don't sweat the small stuff. It is important not to sweat the small stuff. This means not worrying about things that are out of our control or that are not important in the grand scheme of things.
6. Be grateful for what you have. We should be grateful for what we have, even if it is not much. This will help us to appreciate the good things in our lives and to be less focused on the negative.
7. Live a meaningful life. We should live a life that is meaningful to us. This means finding something that we are passionate about and pursuing it with all our hearts.
8. Control your thoughts. We are not our thoughts. We can choose which thoughts we focus on and which ones we let go of.
