We are having an engaging conversation on what has been gained so far and how much more can be done to ensure that young women in aquaculture are not only included but are able to truly thrive within the sector.

Our panelists Bilhah Akoko, Venessah Ominde, and Antalia Awuor are sharing their experiences as participants within the YISA program. Despite barriers such as limited access to finance and productive assets, as well as the stigma often faced by young women in the sector, they continue to make meaningful strides in building sustainable aquaculture enterprises.

Bilhah notes that the technical aquaculture training she received from Lattice has significantly improved how she runs her business.

This highlights the power of knowledge transfer in equipping participants with the skills and confidence to thrive.
