Type Approval Certification is issued by the (CAK) for wireless-enabled devices (Bluetooth & Wi-Fi).
Why this matters:
Any telecommunications or radio-frequency equipment imported, sold, or used in Kenya must receive CAK Type Approval under the Kenya Information and Communications Act (CAP 411A). Without it, products risk seizure, delays at customs, or rejection from the market.
What this approval confirms:
• Compliance with Kenyan RF and technical standards
• Authorization to import, distribute, and sell the device in Kenya
• Regulatory clearance for Bluetooth & Wi-Fi technologies
• Confidence for distributors, resellers, and end users
This certification is the final regulatory green light before a product can legally enter the Kenyan market.
We assist with:
• CAK Type Approval (new applications & renewals)
• Fast-tracking for imports & commercial launches
• Technical documentation review
• Liaison with CAK and follow-ups
• End-to-end regulatory compliance
If you’re planning to import electronics, IoT devices, telecom equipment, power stations, or smart products into Kenya, regulatory approval isn’t optional, but it doesn’t have to be complicated.
