Optimum TMC is recruiting on behalf of a reputable learning institution seeking a competent and safety-focused School Driver.
This role calls for a disciplined professional who understands the responsibility of transporting young learners and can uphold high standards of safety, reliability, and conduct.
Key Responsibilities
Safe and timely transportation of learners
Maintaining order, safety, and proper conduct within the vehicle
Routine vehicle inspection and basic maintenance checks
Accurate record keeping (logbooks, fuel usage, mileage)
Compliance with traffic regulations and institutional safety policies
Qualifications and Experience
Valid Kenyan Driving License (Class B, C, D1/D2 or higher)
Valid PSV License (mandatory)
Certificate of Good Conduct
Minimum KCSE qualification
3+ years’ driving experience, preferably within a school or structured environment
Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage
Personal Profile
Calm, dependable, and attentive to detail
Strong sense of responsibility and integrity
Respectful, patient, and child-friendly
