AMFI-K is pleased to have participated in the stakeholder engagement on the Microfinance (Amendment) Bill, 2026, where we had the opportunity to present the views and recommendations of the microfinance sector.

At AMFI-K, we believe that strong regulation is key to building a sustainable and inclusive financial sector. At the same time, regulations need to reflect the realities on the ground and create room for institutions to grow, innovate, and continue serving the needs of Kenyans, MSMEs, and underserved communities.

We appreciate the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning for the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and for listening to the sector's concerns and proposals.
