WISDOM FOR RELATIONSHIPS
As a wife, your greatest contribution to your husband is helping him by telling him the truth. Your greatest challenge is doing so without embarrassing him. This is your sacred duty toward his growth. Sometimes it will be uncomfortable and may be met with resistance or denial, but how you say it makes all the difference.
I was once invited to a TV program as a conversationalist alongside other guests. The program began on a high note with great energy. Those who spoke before me ignited a fire I couldn't afford to put out, so I picked it up from where they left off and made my contribution. I must admit, I did fairly well.
Then, almost immediately, I received a text from my wife:
"Enjoying the program, but kindly stick to your lane."
At first, I felt judged. But I quickly reminded myself that this wasn't just anyone—it was my spouse, the one person who could tell me the truth exactly as it was. That simple message became a reset button. It realigned my approach to media presentations and conversations, reminding me to remain authentic, focused, and true to my strengths.
The right truth, spoken with love and wisdom, has the power to shape a person's growth without diminishing their dignity.
