Peace is a daily process that gradually changes opinions, while slowly and quietly eroding old barriers and building progressive civil structures.
Peace cannot be kept by force . . . it can only be achieved by understanding.

If we desire a society of peace, then we cannot achieve such a society through violence.
If we desire a society without discrimination, then we must not discriminate against anyone in the process of building this society.
If we desire a society that is democratic, then democracy must become a means as well as an end. BR

Human rights are under siege everywhere. Why?
1. Those who carry out human rights analysis and reporting have been seduced by legal frameworks and largely ignore imbalances of power that lead to rights violations.
2. Political leaders increasingly play on fears that human rights are a Trojan Horse, threatening societies by promising rights to dangerous “others.”
Respect to human rights is the key to a peaceful society.
