Though real estate performance has dropped, in the residential sector, Ruiru ranked the best in terms of rental yields recording 6.1 per cent, followed by Kilimani in Nairobi that recorded 5.8 per cent.

The slump is attributed to delays in the processing of construction permits by some counties.

Together with PS of Housing and Urban development Mr.Charles Hinga,Hon. Simon King'ara toured Ruiru and Githurai Railway stations. The Stations will soon be launched once the necessary equipment is brought on board.The Government is in the process of procuring 11 trains which will commute between Ruiru-Githurai and Nairobi in order to de-congest and reduce traffic jam,along the super highway.

The president of the Supreme court of Kenya David Maraga, officially launched the Ruiru Law Courts that was constructed by the NG-CDF. He said that Ruiru Constituency will soon have a Land, Labour and High courts. This will ensure that services are brought closer to the people.

The KShs 40 Billion Dualling of Eastern Bypass, upcoming Nairobi Industrial Park and Northlands City is set to change the landscape of Ruiru City.

Ruiru's KShs11.5 Billion Nairobi Industrial Park, located in the upcoming Northlands City is set to open in March 2020.

The construction of an Sh11.5 billion industrial park at the Kenyatta family-owned Northlands City in Ruiru, will be completed by early next year.
