One of the things I’ve come to value deeply in life is having problems. It might sound odd, but it’s true. My father taught me this lesson indirectly—he never wanted to solve my problems.

If I faced financial challenges, girlfriend issues, business struggles, or personal dilemmas, he left them to me to figure out. At one point, I resented him for it.

Why wouldn’t he step in? But over time, I realized he was shaping me into a better problem-solver and, ultimately, a stronger man.

The truth is, as men, we grow through challenges. The more problems we face and work through, the sharper our minds become and the more resilient we get.

Unfortunately, in this generation, many of us avoid problems or expect others to solve them for us.

If a man faces a tough situation, his mother, sister, or even friends are quick to swoop in and help.

While support is important, constantly relying on it can weaken our ability to stand on our own.

As a man, you need to embrace problems—heartbreak, failures, business setbacks, or any form of pain.

These aren’t obstacles to run from; they’re opportunities to grow. Problems fuel creativity and force you to think outside the box. They build character and push you to unlock your potential.

So, instead of shying away from struggles, embrace them. Let problems challenge you, refine you, and teach you.

They’re not your enemy; they’re your greatest allies in becoming the man you were meant to be. Seek more problems, solve them, and watch yourself grow into someone unstoppable.

“Smooth seas never made a skilled sailor.”
