Weaning of lambs

Lambs are usually weaned when they are 10 to 14 weeks old (about 70 to 100 days). The actual separation takes just a single day, but the physical transition from milk to solid food starts as early as 3 to 4 weeks of age when they begin nibbling on grass or feed.
