Transparency and Accountability in Action: Strengthening the ABC–KMTC Partnership 🇰🇪🤝🇩🇪
Transparency and accountability are among ABC’s core values, and we were delighted to host and facilitate the visit of a seven-member delegation from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) to Germany.
The delegation included Dr. Kelly Oluoch, CEO; Prof. Nyawira Mwangi, Deputy Director of Administration (DDA); a representative from Quality Control; and Heads of Faculties representing Physiotherapy, Dental Technology (DT), Occupational Therapy (OT), and Community Oral Health (COHO).
During their visit, ABC hosted the delegation in Germany and facilitated opportunities for them to explore professional training institutions, visit healthcare facilities where KMTC alumni have been placed through ABC, and engage with the ABC Deutschland team.
These engagements provided first-hand insight into the German professional environment and the various stages of the recruitment, placement, qualification recognition, and professional integration processes that candidates must navigate before becoming fully recognised practitioners in their respective fields.
Through these visits and interactions, our aim was to ensure that the delegation gained a comprehensive understanding of ABC’s recruitment and placement pathways, the requirements candidates must fulfil, and the support and processes involved throughout their professional journey in Germany.
Together with ABC’s Directors, the ABC Kenya team, and the ABC Deutschland team, the delegation engaged directly with the people, institutions, and the processes that make these opportunities possible.
At ABC, we believe that transparency, accountability, and strong institutional partnerships are essential to building trust, promoting informed collaboration, and creating sustainable professional opportunities.
