The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry is registered as a not-for-profit private company limited by guarantee under the Companies Act Chapter 486 of the laws of Kenya. Before the promulgation of the Kenyan Constitution in August 2010, the KNCCI had its main operations at the head office in Nairobi with regional offices in the major towns in Kenya. However, after the promulgation of th

e constitution, the Chamber amended the legal instrument to establish a National Office and County Chamber’s offices in all the 47 Counties. The Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) is a membership based trade support institution (TSI) working to protect commercial and industrial interests of Kenyan business community. KNCCI advocates for the creation of a favorable commercial, trade and investment environment that supports enterprise expansion. The membership of KNCCI constitutes small, micro enterprises (MSEs), medium and large enterprises.

Today, the Capacity Building for Suppliers on the eGP System was officially launched in Kwale. This is a national initiative aimed at empowering suppliers across Kenya to participate effectively in government procurement.

The program was organised by the Kenya National Chamber of commerce & Industry- Kwale county in partnership with the National Treasury and Economic Planning. It was officially opened by our chairman, Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi

The training will equip suppliers with practical skills in registration, e-bidding, bid security, and e-contract management. It is designed to promote transparency, efficiency, and increased business participation nationwide.

Yesterday, the KWATS Transport Cooperative Society Limited paid a courtesy call to the KNCCI Kwale Chairman Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi, where key discussions centered on deepening collaboration between the Chamber and the tuktuk transport operators in Kwale County.

The meeting, also attended by KNCCI Board Member in charge of Transport, Joseph Mutunga, focused on strengthening sector linkages, empowering transport SMEs, and enhancing operational standards across the industry.

Kenya National Chamber of commerce & Industry- Kwale county successfully concluded the two-day Jiinue Growth Program training held in Kombani, targeting young women in business aged 18 to 35.

The program focused on equipping participants with foundational business skills and financial literacy. Upon completion, the women are enrolled into an empowerment program that offers affordable financing to support their entrepreneurial journeys.

The closing session was presided over by Chairman Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi , together with the Chamber County Manager and the Director in charge of Transport, Joseph Mutunga.

KNCCI Kwale remains committed to empowering SMEs, strengthening women-led enterprises, and fostering inclusive economic growth across the county.

Kenya National Chamber of commerce & Industry- Kwale county, led by our Chairman Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi, officially opened a two-day Jiinue Growth Program training in Shimoni, Lungalunga sub-county for young business women.
The program focuses on basic business skills and affordable financing, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs to grow sustainable ventures.
The opening ceremony was graced by Vice Chair Willis David and Finance Director Felix Mbuvi.

Kenya National Chamber of commerce & Industry- Kwale county was honoured to host a high-level delegation from the State Department of Youth Affairs and the Creative Economy, World Bank, and Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA)

The discussions centred on strategic partnerships aimed at empowering the youth of Kwale through skills development, entrepreneurship training, and business financing.

Chairman Abubakar Mkumbuka Banzi and Vice Chairman Willis emphasized KNCCI’s ongoing efforts to support youth and women across the county, and welcomed greater collaboration to unlock opportunities for employment and enterprise.
