I don’t know who needs to hear this, but take care of yourself better after a breakup. You may feel everything is rushing through all at once. The okay. The breakdown. The hopelessness. The hopefulness. It’s because you are experiencing grief.
Yes, breakups come with grief too. You’re not just losing a person, sometimes you’re grieving the memories, the routine, and the future you imagined together. And healing is not a straight line. Some days you feel okay, other days it hits you all over again. That’s normal. So, don’t force yourself to suppress everything or “move on” quickly. Let yourself feel it. Missing them doesn’t always mean you should go back. It just means they mattered to you.
At the same time, try not to isolate yourself too much. Go out sometimes. Spend time with friends. Eat well, rest, and slowly reconnect with life again. Healing doesn’t happen overnight, but little by little, it gets lighter.
