My name is Sophea, and I am a youth of Changemaker Cambodia. I have also volunteered with many NGOs and school projects to help Cambodia most destitute family and children to have a better home, education, and healthcare. I am a graduate student in International Studies at Royal University of Phnom Penh. I am interested in studying development and working to fight poverty around the world, especailly for Cambodian community. I am working in an INGO as a Grants Assistant to secure the sustainable funding for the organization. I will make positive impacts by creating action plans at the world Merit this year. I’m committed to tackle SDG 1 to end poverty in all its forms.
Following an intensive application process, this talented individual has been selected, from a pool of thousands of international applicants, as a potential candidate for Merit360: UK 2017. This event is like no other, it is an opportunity to work with amazing people to create a positive impact. Successful candidates will have honed a skill that is vital to operations within the charity sector by completing the first challenge, fundraising. In order to attend, delegates must demonstrate their ability to create fundraising opportunities by excelling the minimum required fundraising amount of $1500 (USD).
