In the ICU, every breath matters. For patients on breathing machines called mechanical ventilators, that breath doesn't just have to keep them alive. It has to be safe.
When Inbentus Medical Technology built a high-performance ICU ventilator, making sure the air it delivered was clean and pure was a top priority. Even tiny amounts of harmful chemicals mixed into the airflow could be dangerous, especially for patients who are already seriously ill.
That's where Assuris came in.
Our lab in Kentwood, Michigan, ran detailed tests to identify any chemicals that might be released into the air flowing through the device. Basically, sniffing out anything that shouldn't be there. Then our Toxicological Risk Assessment Centre of Excellence (TRACE) took those results and determined whether any of them posed a real safety risk. Think of our team at TRACE as the team that translates raw lab data into clear answers about whether something is actually dangerous to people.
The result? A complete safety package was submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the government agency that approves medical devices, which gave it the green light. No questions, no concerns about the testing or the safety review.

On July 31, 2026, Intertek Cambodia was honored to be invited to the World Accreditation Day 2026 celebration, hosted by the General Department of Accreditation Cambodia (GDAC).

​Centering around this year’s theme—"Innovation, Trust and Sustainability: The Power of Accreditation"—the event highlighted how crucial accreditation is for businesses navigating today’s fast-paced, highly competitive global marketplace. The session brought together key representatives from government agencies and private sector leaders alike.

According to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), accreditation is the formal, third-party recognition that a conformity assessment body (like a certification body, testing lab, or inspection agency) is competent to carry out specific tasks. In short, it is the "certification of the certification body" to ensure they operate impartially and follow international rules.

The global toy market is worth over $120 billion, and somewhere in that pile of blocks, rattles, and teething rings is a baby who is about to put all of it straight in their mouth.
