Founded in June 2011, EuroCham represents the voice of European businesses in Cambodia.

The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia was inaugurated on June 2nd, 2011 with the support of the three founding European business organizations: the Chambre de Commerce Franco-Cambodgienne (CCIFC), the British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (Britcham) and German Business Cambodia (GBC, formerly ADW). Today, it also has national chapters representing Italy (ICBC); Belgium, Netherlands and Luxemburg (Benelux Chapter); and Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland (Nordic Chapter). Today, Cambodia’s leading international business chamber has approximately 300 members who engage actively in various sectorial advocacy committees, and organizes more than one hundred meetings, trainings and events every year. Our key objectives are:

The Agreement was signed by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗸𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗴, Deputy Director of ITI, and 𝗠𝗿. 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗻, Group CEO of SCAN Industrial Services (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., at a signing held at ITI.

The Agreement fulfils the first implementation milestone under the Memorandum of Agreement signed between SIS and MLVT on 8 July 2026, translating that framework into an operational partnership at ITI's Metal Engineering and Sheet Metal Welding Department.

𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗦𝗜𝗦 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹:
🔹 Deliver a structured Train-the-Trainer program for ITI's trainers
🔹 Develop curriculum and training benchmarked against international standards
🔹 Support the progressive upgrading of ITI's training facilities towards EU industry standards over the five-year term

A key feature of the partnership is a new competency assessment and certification program for practicing welders and metal tradespeople, assessed against ITI's own certification standards, with those who meet the standard receiving official certification and others entering a structured upskilling pathway. The partnership also supports inclusive access for trainees from poor and vulnerable families through Cambodia's TVET 1.5M program.

The numbers behind this year's elections tell their own story:
🔷 Candidates up 𝟯𝟴% since 2024
🔷 Women now represent 𝟭 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 elected leaders, up from 1 in 4
🔷 SMEs account for 𝟱𝟰% of committee leadership, up from 38%

With elections complete, all 12 committees 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽𝘀 setting out their priorities, advocacy goals, and key activities for 2026–2028.

⚕️ 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗦𝗦𝗙 & 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀

EuroCham Cambodia’s Healthcare Committee recently met with 𝗛.𝗘. 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗵𝘂𝗻, Deputy Director General of the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 (NSSF), to pose a question that has been part of committee discussions for the past two years: 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗦𝗦𝗙 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿?

At the EuroCham healthcarebreakfast talk in May, we explored this question with the Deputy Director General, and his contribution 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗡𝗦𝗦𝗙’𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 firmly into the discussion. Yesterday, we dug into the practical questions: why do some members use both systems, how do patients move between public and private providers, and what do hospitals experience with contracting, claims and payment?

At the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟮 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿, we bring these perspectives together: NSSF, third-party administrators (TPA), private insurers, public hospitals and private healthcare providers. We will look at relevant international experience, hear where the Cambodian systems meet in practice, and identify questions worth examining together after the Forum.
