This is Bayon temple in the very center of the Angkor Thom city as its position is right 1500 meters to each of the four gates from four direction . Then , Bayon temple is a core temple which is situating in the central spot of Angkor Thom city .
Bayon temple was built in the late 12th century in the year 1181 in the reign of the most popular and well-known King JAYAVARMAN 7 in the representation to the Success in reunifying the Buddhism and Hinduism that were seen of not getting a long with each other and that had prompted the differences during the religious revolution. This temple has been decorated with 54 towers that represent all the 54 provinces of the former kingdom .
Each of these 54 towers is adorned with four faces opening to the four cardinal points .
