* 낙동강이 면의 중앙을 가로질러 남서류하며 마을 뒤로는 국망봉이 병풍처럼 감싸고 있는 전형적인 배산임수형의 농촌 마을이다.
대부분 낮은 구릉성 산지를 이루며 농업은 벼농사가 우세하고 그 밖에 사과·무·배추·송이버섯·고추 등도 재배된다.
