Introducing the Neuronata-R, most advanced stem cells therapy for the people with ALS, Development History.

Over the last 15 years, we have been developing Neuronata-R steadily step by step. We are now expecting the phase 3 clinical trial will be finished within this year. We sincerely hope our findings can improve the lives of the people with ALS and contribute to our understanding of ALS.

We are absolutely excited to announce a major milestone in our phase 3 clinical trial journey!

We have received the IDMC (Independent Data Monitoring Committee) recommendation to continue the clinical trial of this new ALS treatment without plan modification.

We could check, once again, that our clinical trial meet the expectations for data acquisition and submission in the near future.

Flashback #2023

Last year, we have completed the patient enrollment 100% for the phase 3 clinical trial of stem cell therapy for FDA. The data of total 126 patients will be collected, analyzed, and finally published in the near future.

Post-marketing surveillance study was conducted from its initial sales of July 30, 2014 to January 31, 2022. This 7.5 year-long study was designed to assess safety and efficacy for all released products.

257 subjects have received administration of lenzumestrocel for once or more and safety was evaluated from the data.

The PMS results were published on 2023. As this study does not have a control group, placebo data was collected from the PROACT, the ALS public database, for this long-term survival analysis.

The results indicated higher survival probability of the treatment group compared to the PROACT group. Mean survival time for the placebo group was calculated as 720 days, 24 months. Lenzumestrocel group’s mean survival time was not calculated because more than half of the subjects survived during the study period.

Figure B shows that lenzumestrocel group can be divided into two groups; single-cycle injection group which is the blue section with 134 subjects, and multiple injection group which is the red section with 21 subjects. The single cycle refers to two repeated injections with a 26 day interval, and multiple injection group subjects mean that they received booster injections in addition to the single cycle injection.

Considering the small sample size of the multiple injection group, there was no statistically significant difference between the single cycle and multiple injection group. However, Figure B shows that the survival probability of the multiple injection group is higher than the single-cycle injection group.

This time we proudly announced the Post Marketing Surveillance(PMS) Data of 7.5 year-long study with 257 subjects.

PMS result was also published on ‘frontier’ on the same year.

With the completion of phase clinical trial in 2013, we have received conditional marketing authorization from KFDA.

Over 400+ patients have been received since 2014, excluding clinical trial participants.

We deeply appreciate that more than 1/3 of the total number of patients are from outside of Korea. We will put our best effort to make the journey easier.

On April 12th, Corestemchemon, Inc. publicly announced the publication of an analytical research paper in the international academic journal "Frontiers", which presented findings on the survival benefits of its domestically marketed ALS stem cell therapy product, "Neuronata-R". The study was based on the analysis of post-market surveillance data(2014-2021).

Corestemchemon, Inc. secured FDA approval for Phase 3 clinical trials in 2020 and currently conducts the trials within South Korea. In February, the company successfully enrolled the required 115 target patients for the Phase 3 trials and is planning to conclude the trials by the first half of 2024.

Additionally, on April 28th, Corestem, Inc. held a groundbreaking ceremony to commence the construction of a state-of-the-art approx. 7,600 square meters stem cell therapy production plant in Osong Bio Cluster, Chungbuk, South Korea. The company also revealed its strategic plans to expand its presence and enter the US market.
