We Don’t Show Up For The Wins Or Losses. We Show Up To Get Better.
No matter how busy the week was.
No matter how tired I am.
No matter what I’m carrying into the weekend.
I look forward to this.
A basketball, a court, my son beside me, and a community of people coming together to play.
Youth, old, different stages, different ages, different backgrounds, but once that ball goes up, we’re all just here to compete, laugh, move, and enjoy the game.
For me, it’s bigger than basketball.
It’s physical activity.
It’s community.
It’s time with my son.
It’s something I can count on every week.
And maybe that’s why I enjoy it so much.
Because sometimes you don’t need to escape your life.
You just need a few hours to put everything else down and enjoy being in it.
