Pigmentation is an outcome of the interplay between melanocytes and the neighboring cells, such as keratinocytes and fibroblasts. Several paracrine factors secreted from these cell types upon UV exposure regulate melano genesis, causing skin tanning and hyper pigmentation.
According to reports, SDF1 plays an inhibitory role in controlling skin pigmentation.
SDF1 has a possible therapeutic effect on developing skin-brightening agents that can treat hyper pigmentation.
HMSC (human mesenchymal stem cell conditioned media) contains high level of SDF-1 factor and various stem cell growth factor.

Do you still use animal cells to develop new drugs?

Now, use nEPS.
High throughput screening (HTS) is a popular approach to target validation as it allows the assaying of a large number of potential biological modulators against a chosen set of defined targets.
The advantage of miniaturization and automated liquid handling allows rapid, inexpensive and effective up-scaling of small scale bench top assays to large scale assay formats.
It need human cell line for HTS. The benefits of using nEPS for in vitro disease modelling, drug discovery and toxicity testing are becoming apparent as the research community finds solutions to the hurdles commonly associated with these cells. Thus, nEPS-based in vitro HTS is a tool to identify appropriate disease targets, design effective screening assays and improve toxicity testing.

Efficiency of nEPS to induce pluripotency from Mesenchymal stem cell is over 90%.
To verify inducing efficiency, We have identified SSEA-4 (pluripotent stem cell marker) to analysis FACS data.
In result, positive SSEA-4 cell after the F002 compound treatment was 92.21% compared with MSC before the F002 compound treatment.
