Translators say these Korean words are tough to translate!🧐
Guess that’s because they carry so much Korean culture.
Got any other unique Korean words in mind?

Who uses a cushion? 🙋‍♀️
I always keep one in my pouch too!

But did you know the cushion was actually
invented in Korea? 🇰🇷
No wonder K-beauty became such a thing!

👋Do you have a favorite Korean beauty brand or product? Tell me in the comments! I’d love to try it too.

The Seoul subway is truly the lifeline of the city 🚊
so many locals rely on it every day, and travelers do too!

Compared to subways in other major cities around the world, it’s actually quite affordable. That’s because Korea considers the subway part of public welfare, which is why it’s run by public corporations.
(Of course, the fares have been rising due to heavy deficits lately 😅)

Got any questions about the Seoul subway? Drop them in the comments! ⬇️

Now, even foreigners know about Korea’s Daiso!
Koreans visit it all the time (me included 😆).

While making this post, I looked around carefully again—
and seriously, everything was between 1,000 and 5,000 won!

Isn’t it amazing that you can shop without feeling guilty? 💸

Most of the 2025 Nobel Prizes have been announced!
And did you know Korea has two Nobel laureates? 🇰🇷

Han Kang brought comfort to hearts through her words,
while Kim Dae-jung fought for democracy and peace through his actions.

Which field do you think Korea’s next Nobel Prize will come from? 🌿

There are so many special days lately!

October 9 is Hangeul Day (한글날), celebrating the creation of the Korean alphabet. 🇰🇷

Did you know Hangeul is the only writing system in the world whose creator, date, and design principles are all known?

Anyone here good with chopsticks?🥢
Confession time — I’m Korean, but I’m still clumsy with them 😅

Chopsticks are used in many Asian countries, but metal chopsticks are unique to Korea!

That’s why many visitors buy them as souvenirs these days.

October 6 is Chuseok (추석)
— Korea’s Thanksgiving Day! 🍂
It’s one of Korea’s biggest holidays!

So if you’re in Seoul right now,
don’t be shocked if lots of places are closed!😁

There’s always a full moon on Chuseok,
and we make wishes under it.
So go ahead — make your own wish too! ✨

Just curious! Do you guys have a holiday
where you make wishes to the moon too? 🌙💭

Changdeokgung (창덕궁) blends beautifully with nature—so much that it’s often called the most “Korean” of all palaces. ☺️

Also interstingly, though it began as a secondary palace, it served as the functional main one for a longer time.

But behind its beauty, there are also traces of heartbreak.

Seoul = Apartment City 🏙️

When people first visit Seoul, one of the biggest shocks is… apartments.
Not just a few here and there—literally a sea of them!
(That’s why Korea is nicknamed the “apartment republic.”)

And these aren’t tiny buildings either. Most new ones shoot up 30 floors or higher.

Why so many apartments?
Because Seoul is a small city in size, but home to a huge number of people packed into it. (Nearly half of Korea’s population)
