📌 Important Notice – Embassy Appointment System (February 2026)
Issued by: Korean Embassy in Kathmandu
Notice date: January 26, 2026
The Korean Embassy in Nepal has changed the way people get appointments for consular services (such as document authentication or certification).
🗓 What Has Changed
From February 2, 2026, online appointment booking is stopped.
This includes group bookings made by colleges or universities.
Now, appointments can only be obtained by visiting the embassy in person.
🎟 Appointment by Lottery System
Appointments will be given through a lottery (random draw) system.
It is not first-come, first-served.
How the lottery works:
Arrive at the embassy between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM.
The lottery starts at 10:00 AM.
Appointment dates and times are decided randomly.
📅 February Lottery Schedule
The embassy has fixed specific lottery dates in February.
Applicants can attend only on the date assigned to them based on:
Last digit of passport number
Last digit of date of birth
(This system is used to control the number of applicants each day.)
📌 Important Rules
Only the applicant personally can attend the lottery.
Nepali citizens currently living in Korea will continue using the existing online system.
You must bring:
Your passport
One photocopy of your passport
⚠️ Important Notes
Without the required documents, you will not get an appointment.
Creating disturbance, coming too early, or not following embassy instructions may result in disqualification from the lottery.
