Air Premia launched Commercial flights on the Seoul-Dhaka-Seoul route on 24 October.

The airline operates one weekly flight every Tuesday between Seoul and Dhaka, using a Boeing 787-900 aircraft with 56 premium and 282 economy seats, according to Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport sources.

With Air Premia, the number of operating foreign carriers has increased to 34 in Bangladesh

On August 27, Ambassador Lee Jang-keun made courtesy calls on Dr. A K Abdul Momen, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Mr. Masud Bin Momen, Foreign Secretary in separate meetings.

Expressing strong support for the government and the people of Bangladesh in their fight against the COVID-19, Ambassador Lee emphasized his firm commitment to closer bilateral ties between Korea and Bangladesh, building up on the historic visit by Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon to Bangladesh in July 2019.

Korea has been active in making business investments in Bangladesh, ranking 6th in terms of accumulated FDI. Korea is the 12th largest origin of remittance by Bangladeshi expatriate workers, and also a major provider of official development assistance to Bangladesh. Ambassador Lee expressed his hope to take the existing strong relationship to a higher level beyond the traditional areas of cooperation.
