It was a pleasure for Ms. Kawthar Abu Ghazaleh, Co-founder and Managing Partner of Meras Consulting to attend the AI & Cybersecurity GCC Fourth Forum, hosted by American International University (AIU) in Kuwait.

AI is changing how organizations work, teach, and make decisions. Every new capability also raises questions about security, governance, and trust. Events like this bring government, industry, and academia into the same room to work through those questions together.

We can take the course. Read the book. Attend the workshop. Save the article. And still change nothing.

The real shift happens when what we learn starts influencing what we do. We try it. We get it wrong. We adjust. We try again.

That’s when learning becomes more than information.
It becomes experience. Because the value of learning isn’t only in what we know. It’s in what we do differently because we know it.

A process can be documented. A role can be defined.

But if the knowledge only lives with one person, the system remains vulnerable.

Strong institutions make knowledge easier to document, share, and transfer.

Because people will move on. The knowledge shouldn’t have to.

On paper, a process can look clear, logical, and efficient.

But once people have to use it, different questions appear:
• Is it easy to follow?
• Are the steps practical?
• Where do people get stuck?

What happens when something unexpected comes up?

A process isn’t successful because it looks good on paper. It’s successful when it works in practice.

Before asking, “Is the process correct?”
Ask: “Does it actually work for the people using it?”

Before asking “What do we need more of?”
Ask:
“Are we using what we already have effectively?”
